The Emory Financial Planning Certificate Program provides financial planning professionals with the skills, training, and knowledge to succeed in the financial planning industry, as well as the educational requirement needed to sit for the CFP® Certification Examination.
The CFP® certification process, administered by the CFP Board, identifies to the public that those individuals who have been authorized to use the CFP® certification marks in the U.S. have met rigorous professional standards and have agreed to adhere to the principles of integrity, objectivity, competence, fairness, confidentiality, professionalism and diligence when dealing with clients.
Our program's schedule allows you to complete your studies in approximately 18 months, while maintaining a full-time job. The program curriculum includes: personal financial planning, retirement planning, estate planning, tax planning, insurance, and investments, and focuses on all eight major Job Task Domains and 78 Principal Topics necessary to successfully pass the CFP® Examination.
We encourage you to compare our curriculum with other programs and share it with practicing financial professionals. We also encourage you to visit the CFP Board website and the Financial Planning Association of Georgia website, as well as the Dalton CFP Review program website - a recognized leader in CFP test preparation. ECE CFP students receive a $50 discount for this review program.
