The focus of this program is to prepare students for careers in the surging Health IT field in the shortest time possible. 

Our two premier programs, Accelerated Training in Health IT (AT-HIT) for IT or Clinical Professionals and Accelerated Training in Health IT (AT-HIT) for Non-IT Professionals offer innovative curricula, novel delivery methods, and networking opportunities, preparing motivated individuals for the field of Health IT.

Accelerated Training in Health IT (AT-HIT)
for IT or Clinical Professionals

The Accelerated Training in Health IT (AT-HIT) for IT or Clinical Professionals is an intensive 80-hour workforce program delivered over 10 Saturdays.

Prerequisite: A bachelor’s degree, or 3 years of professional work experience in IT or hospital settings
Tuition: $3,695 – WIA eligible (click HERE for list of WIA centers)
Course Length: 80 hours, 10 Saturdays

Accelerated Training in Health IT (AT-HIT)
for Non-IT Professionals

The Accelerated Training in Health IT (AT-HIT) for Non IT Professionals is an intensive 88-hour workforce program delivered over 11 Saturdays. This program includes a one week training in Fundamentals of IT course in addition to our 10 week Accelerated Training in Health IT for IT or Clinical Professionals program. We also have several Teacher’s Assistant professionals who have completed this program and will help the non-It students with any of the related IT issues in the program. This also includes providing training and support during the week.

Prerequisite: A bachelor’s degree and review of the resume and professional work experience to determine the eligibility for the program
Tuition: $3,995 – WIA eligible (click HERE for list of WIA centers)
Course Length: 88 hours, 11 Saturdays

Accelerated Training in Health IT (AT-HIT) program is an intensive professional development program. The focus is to use an innovative curriculum structure, a novel delivery model, and networking opportunities to prepare students for careers in the surging HIT field in the shortest time possible.

AT-HIT for Non-IT Professionals

This program will cover the fundamentals of Information Technology for those who do not have an IT or clinical background. After completion of this program, the student should have a basic knowledge of IT and its application in business environments generally and healthcare specifically.

IT Fundamentals Course Content

This program covers topics such as:

  • Computer systems hardware and software
  • Database Management Systems, Relational Database, & Big Data
  • Information systems and Healthcare Informatics

ECE Blended Learning Model 

This program uses a novel delivery method within its three-pronged curriculum, to offer an integrated learning experience:

  • Face-to-face class presentations by industry professionals
  • Computer laboratory and hands-on training on a system similar to what graduates will be using in their new career
  • Outside the class learning and activities

For the best learning experience, we capitalize on a widely-installed commercial electronic health record (EHR) system to provide a very successful, hands-on learning experience.

Upon successful completion of this course, certifications are granted by Emory University Continuing Education.
