Response to COVID-19

Frequently Asked Questions

Below, you'll find answers to some of the most commonly asked questions about this emergency response.

Through March 22

Students may continue registering for courses that will begin between Friday, March 13 and Sunday, March 22. These courses will meet in-person at Century Center. Coffee service has been discontinued, and students will be responsible for their own food and beverages.

Beginning March 23

The ECE Team is diligently working with our staff and instructors to identify which courses beginning on or after Monday, March 23, 2020, can be transitioned into an online learning format. We will have completed this process by Friday, March 19, and reach out to affected students.

If a course begins after March 22, any location listed on the website that is NOT displaying as “ECE Online” will likely change. If you’re happy to take the course in either a live-in person format or instructor-led online training, this won’t matter much. However, we know some people don’t like online learning. ECE will reach out to you as soon as possible with the exact meeting information for your course(s).

ECE staff can transfer you to a Summer or Fall section of the same course, if that is available. If not, or if you do not want to take the course at a later date, you will be issued a full refund.

If you would like to request a transfer to a later section of the class  or if you would like to request a refund, please send an e-mail to learn@emory.edu. Please send us the e-mail more than 5 days prior to the start of the class and we will process your request.

ECE staff can transfer you to a Summer or Fall section of the same course, if that is available. If not, or if you do not want to take the course at a later date, you will be issued a full refund.
